DR. RICKY PHAN - Managing Covid-19 and Advanced Directive Discussions

DR. RICKY PHAN, Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Dr. Ricky Phan is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Phan completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University Long Beach in 2014. He achieved his Master of Science in Nursing – AGACNP from California State University Los Angeles in 2017. Dr. Phan accomplished his Doctor of Nursing Practice at Southern California CSU DNP Consortium in 2019. His doctoral project focused on enhancing goals-of-care conversation and palliative care for critically ill patients and family in the Intensive Care Unit. He believes that patient and family engagement in the plan of care will improve patient outcomes and treatment compliance during hospitalization and post-discharge. He is skillfully trained and currently work in critical care and internal medicine. In this special episode, Dr. Phan discussed COVID-19 infection, sign symptoms, potential complications, high-risk populations, treatments, and preventative measure plans, including, advanced directive plans and options of resuscitations/comfort care.
